Athens City Tram

Ecologically and environmentally friendly, Athens Tram is a public tram network system serving Athens. It is now owned and operated by Urban Rail Transport a subsidiary company of Attiko Metro. STASY operates a fleet of 35 vehicles, which serve 3 tram lines and 48 tram stops. The tram network spans a total length of 27 kilometres (16.8 mi) and covers ten Athenian suburbs. This network runs from Syntagma Square to the southwestern suburb of Palaio Faliro, where the line splits in two branches; the first runs along the Athens coastline toward the southern suburb of Voula, while the other heads toward the Piraeus district of Neo Faliro.

Line A1, Distance: 13.5 km

Route: Syntagma – Nea Smyrni – Palaio Faliro – Neo Faliro

Itinerary: Amalias – Vas. Olgas – Ardittou – Kallirois – Fix – Kasomouli – Hlia Hliou – Machis Analatou – El. Venizelou – Achilleos – Poseidonos – Ethnarchou Makariou.

Stops: Syntagma – Zappeio – Vouliagmenis Avenue – Fix – Kasomouli – Neos Kosmos – Bagana – Aegaiou – Agias Foteinis Sq. – Megalou Alexandrou – Agia Paraskevi – Mideias Mukalis – Evaggelikh Scholi – Achilleos – Amphitheas – Panagitsa – Mousson – Batis – Phloisvos – Phloisvos Park – Trokantero – Agia Skepi – Delta Falirou – Tzitzifies – Kallithea – Moschato – S.E.F. (Stadio Eirinis & Filias).

Route: Neo Faliro – Paleo Faliro – Glyfada

Itinerary: S.E.F. (Stadio Eirinis & Filias)- Ethnarchou Makariou – Poseidonos – Diadochou Pavlou – Agg. Metaxa – Kritis Square

Stops: S.E.F. (Stadio Eirinis & Filias) – Moschato – Kallithea – Tzitzifies – Delta Falirou – Agia Skepi – Trokantero – Phloisvos Park – Phloisvos – Batis-Edem-Pikrodaphne – Alimou Marina – Kalamaki Zephyros – Loutra Alimou – Hellenikon – Agiou Kosma 1st – Agiou Kosma 2nd – Agios Alexandros – Ellinon Olympionikon – Kentro Istiopoias – Vergoti Sq. – Glyfada Beach – Palaio Dimarcheio – Katraki Sq. -Agg. NOTICE:

To use the tram you must have a ticket or in the case you are frequent passenger the type of card which best serves your needs. We kindly ask you to validate your ticket at the ticket validation machines located at the tram stops and keep it in case of inspection ( €84 Fine) . If you use a card, you must always have it with you so you can show it in the case of inspection.

Operating hours:

On Fridays and Saturdays the tram operates 24 hours per day, and from Sunday through Thursday from 05:00 to 01:00.
